Multi-Feed Government Contracting News Digest
Four RSS feeds in, one clean Teams digest out, every morning at 8am, no duplicates.

The problem
"Our team was skimming four government contracting news sites every morning to pick out what mattered. Nobody was consistent. Some days the digest went out, most days it did not."
The solution
One flow. Every input type.
The workflow runs daily at 8am against a hardcoded list of four feeds (GovCon Wire, Federal News Network, MeriTalk, GovExec). For each, it fetches the RSS, parses items directly with regex (skipping fake HTML-instead-of-XML responses), and filters to the last 30 days. A cleaning step decodes HTML entities that RSS often mangles (like & and named entities). Each article checks against the existing SharePoint Excel sheet to skip anything already summarized. What remains goes to Azure OpenAI GPT-4.1-mini with a prompt tuned for government contracting executives: exactly 600 characters, no preamble, no fluff. Summaries are written to Excel and a DataTable, then aggregated into a single Teams message under a 1000-character cap so the whole thing renders inline.
